OccurrenceIn nature, beryllium is found in the Earth's crust, 2-6 ppm (w/w), in minerals such as beryl, phenacite, chrysoberyl, emerald and aquamarine. Of these, beryl is the industrial source for beryllium [7]. The isotope found in nature is 9Be (100 %, stable) [7].
