Platinum

In nature, platinum is found in the Earth's crust, ~0.01 ppm, as alloy with palladium, osmium, iridium, rhodium and ruthenium [6]. The isotopes found in nature are ¹⁹⁰Pt (0.01 %, T_½ = 6.9 · 10¹¹ years), ¹⁹²Pt (0.8 %, stable), ¹⁹⁴Pt (32.9 %, stable), ¹⁹⁵Pt (33.8 %, stable), ¹⁹⁶Pt (25.2 %, stable) and ¹⁹⁸Pd (7.2 %, stable) [6].

In pure solid form, platinum exist in face-centered cubic crystal structure [6]
